Tucked away on Legge Lane - one of the Jewellery Quarter’s oldest and most characterful streets, The Architects’ House forms part of a collection of striking courtyard mews houses designed by architect-developer duo Liv Projekt.
The development combines uncompromising contemporary architecture with references to the area’s industrial heritage, featuring expansive loft-style homes arranged around a private courtyard. Double-height living spaces, top-lit interiors and carefully framed terraces create a series of homes that feel both architectural and deeply considered.
We were brought in to soften and enrich the original interior scheme, introducing warmth, depth, colour and a stronger artistic identity throughout the home.
Working across all four floors, we carefully reconfigured layouts to create a more comfortable and liveable flow, including transforming an underused bedroom into a playful and bright children’s room. Layers of texture and softness were introduced through oversized rugs, full-height sheer window treatments and bespoke upholstered pieces, helping balance the strong architectural framework of the building.
A central part of the project was the creation of a series of original artworks, all designed and hand-painted in situ by Aly. These large-scale works became integral to the atmosphere of the home, bringing individuality, texture and a lived-in warmth to the contemporary interiors.
