Before interiors, there was art. Aly began her career as an artist and curator before founding San Stae, so creativity and collecting have always sat at the heart of the studio. You may come to us looking for artwork for a home or project or simply searching for a meaningful piece for yourself or someone else.
We offer a range of art services including art advisory and sourcing, commissions and in-house art-making, collection management and creative workshops. We also curate collections for cultural organisations and curate our own exhibitions showcasing the amazing artists and makers we work with.
art advisory & sourcing
We begin by understanding your taste, the feeling you want to create, and where the piece will live whether that’s within a home, workspace, hospitality setting, or as a personal gift.
Working closely with galleries and artists, we present considered selections tailored to you and your budget. Alongside sourcing, we manage framing guidance, digital mock-ups, logistics, and installation, making the process feel thoughtful, relaxed and seamless from start to finish.

commissions & in-house art making
If you’re seeking something truly bespoke, we work directly with artists and galleries to coordinate new commissions. Often we arrange artist studio visits to offer a more personal connection to the work.
We also create original artworks in-house, designed and made by Aly and the team. From abstract compositions to figurative and landscape works, each piece is developed specifically to your brief or interior.
We can also provide professional framing and mounting.
collection management
Whether you’re building on an existing portfolio or refreshing how your artworks are displayed, we help you develop a collection that feels cohesive, meaningful and beautifully placed.
With extensive experience managing private collections, we also offer cataloguing, photographing and documenting works for valuation, insurance, sale or loan.
This can include collection reviews, reframing, rehang plans, new acquisitions, and digital visuals to help you preview arrangements within your space before installation.

exhibition curation
We work with galleries and cultural organisations to curate collections, advise on acquisitions, and create conceptual, immersive exhibitions.
Alongside this, we curate our own public-facing exhibitions, extending our work beyond the studio to showcase the exceptional artists and makers we collaborate with across our projects.

art classes
Through our sister platform, San Stae Art Class, we deliver creative workshops and art experiences for the built environment sector and design showrooms all around the UK.
These sessions are designed to bring people together through creativity, whether for team building, client entertainment or showroom activations.
