As a nimble creative practice, we’re always experimenting and evolving. This spring we’re exploring what it means to have a street presence and bringing the inner workings of the studio out onto the pavement and into the daily rhythm of the town. For the coming months, you’ll find us at Livery Studios in the centre of Leamington Spa, home to Ricketts Architects.

Our first window display offers a small glimpse into our world. To one side sits the material palette for our current Paper Yard project; to the other, a fragment of our ever-growing materials library, and in the gap - our studio team at work.

Inside, we’ve settled into what was once the architects’ boardroom - a fitting setting for conversation, collaboration and ideas exchange. As a practice that works closely with architects on many projects, it feels like a natural pairing: a shared space where discussions about buildings, materials and atmosphere happen daily.

At the front of the studio sits a gallery curated by Ricketts’ directors, Dan and Paul, who also work as artists under Watt x Rickett. Their paintings and prints explore the meeting point between architecture, memory and landscape - work that sits at the edge of art and built form. Their multidisciplinary approach immediately resonated with us, reflecting our own belief that interior design, art and curation are deeply interconnected.

For us, this space offers a chance to open the studio doors a little wider, sharing glimpses of the thinking and making behind our projects. Over the coming months we’ll host small happenings and workshops, bringing together artists, designers and makers, while also developing artwork for our own interiors. If you look closely, you might even catch us painting in the window.

If you’re passing by, do pop in. We’d love to welcome clients, collaborators, friends and curious neighbours alike.
